When should an account be assigned for third party collection efforts?

Be impatient when collecting your bills! Small businesses really can harm their cash flow by failing to act in a timely manner their on overdue accounts. Rule No. 1 when it comes to receivables is to be impatient. At CSC, we believe that the biggest mistake a company can make is to wait too long in the hope that the debtor will change his/her mind and decide to pay at a later date. See the comments of François Sauvageau, CSC’s President, recently published in the Globe & Mail regarding the importance of being impatient when collecting receivables and the 60-day rule.
